Privacy Policy for PaceShift
Last updated:
PaceShift is a marathon training app: it reads your runs, tracks pace and splits, builds a training plan, and explains your progress with an AI coach. This policy covers the Android and iOS apps.
Developer: MD Sadakat Hussain Fahad, publishing as Intently · Contact: paceshift@liveintently.app
The short version
- With your permission PaceShift reads workout and health data from Health Connect (Android) or Apple Health (iOS).
- If you sign in, your runs and plan sync to our server.
- The AI coach sends a summary of your training data to an AI model provider to generate explanations and screens.
- No ads, and we never sell your data or use health data for advertising.
Health data
PaceShift asks to read, and only reads, these types:
- Exercise sessions, distance, steps
- Heart rate
- Active and total calories burned
It uses them to show your runs, pace, splits and trends, adjust your training plan, and power the AI coach. PaceShift does not write to Health Connect or Apple Health.
Health Connect and Apple Health: data received from them is used only to provide PaceShift’s features. It is not sold, not used for advertising, not shared with data brokers, and not used to train AI models, in line with the Health Connect Permissions policy (including its Limited Use requirements) and Apple’s HealthKit rules. You can revoke access at any time in Health Connect or in Apple Health settings.
Other information we collect
- Account (optional): the account identifier, email and name shared by Google or Apple when you sign in.
- Training data you create: plans, goals, notes and settings.
- Subscription status: handled through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase records from Google Play or the App Store. We never see card details.
Where data goes
- Our server: when you’re signed in, your runs, plan and settings are stored in our database so you can sync and restore them.
- AI coach: to answer questions and generate coaching screens, our server sends the relevant training data (for example recent runs, paces, heart-rate summaries and your plan) to Z.ai (GLM models), acting on our behalf. Your name and email are not included. The provider processes it only to return the answer.
- RevenueCat, Google and Apple: for sign-in and subscriptions.
We don’t sell or rent your data, and we share it only with the providers above and anyone the law requires us to disclose it to.
Permissions
- Health Connect / Apple Health read access: the health types listed above.
- Notifications, exact alarms, start at boot, wake lock, ignore battery optimisation: to remind you about planned runs on time and keep reminders working after a restart.
- Internet: for sync, the AI coach and subscriptions.
Retention and deletion
Health data read from Health Connect or Apple Health stays on your phone unless you’re signed in, in which case the runs derived from it are stored with your account. Deleting your account in the app removes your account and synced training data from our server. AI requests are not kept by us after the answer is returned.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data by emailing paceshift@liveintently.app; we’ll answer within 30 days.
Children
PaceShift is not for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
Changes are posted here with a new date; significant changes are announced in the app.
